Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday inaugurated 67 hospitals transformed under Ama Hospital initiative in 15 districts of the Sate in virtual mode.
The Chief Minister also inaugurated a 300 bedded DHH at Subarnapur and 100 bedded BMRC Jharsuguda Cardiac Care Hospital.
The CM also laid the foundation stone of Sub District Hospital at Begunia, Khordha to provide seamless healthcare services to the public.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that all the arrangements in ‘Ama Hospital’ have been made keeping in mind the convenience of the people. The main focus of this program is convenience of the patient and improved healthcare services.
The Ama Hospital will usher in a new era in the state of healthcare and will bring a huge change in the field of healthcare in government hospitals, the CM said.
He further said that ‘Ama Hospital’ will further brighten the picture of transformation in the healthcare sector. The program has been started on the basis of the proposals received from the district visit of the 5T Chairman.
The Chief Minister further said that the 5T initiative has improved the infrastructure of hospitals, basic facilities for patients and the way of service delivery.
In the next five years, 1858 hospitals are targeted to be included in the ‘Ama Hospital’ program and for this purpose more than Rs 3300 crore has been allocated during 2023-28. He informed that the transformation work of 149 hospitals is going on, the CM added.
Attending the today’s program, Health Minister Niranjan Pujari said that with the efforts of the Chief Minister, the people of Odisha are getting facilities like private hospitals in government hospitals.
5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian coordinated the programme.
People from different districts participated in the programme and thanked the Chief Minister for the Ama Hospital initiatives.
