Bhubaneswar: After talking to Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today spoke to Union External Affairs Minister S jayshankar and discussed about the safe return of Odia students and workers stuck in the war-torn Ukraine .
Jayshankar assured the Chief Minister for safe evacuation of Indians stranded in Ukraine.
Earlier this morning, the CM had spoken to Union Home Minister on this issue and annoyunced to bear the expenses for return of odias stuck in Ukraine.
The Odisha Government has also launched a special number (+91 85275 80245) for the stranded Odias in the war-torn country.
The Chief Minister has directed the Development Commissioner-cum-Special Relief Commissioner P.K. Jena to coordinate the overall issue of bringing back citizens from Odisha. He also urged the Resident Commissioner at New Delhi to coordinate with the Government of India over this issue.
