28 Odisha MPs Included in Various Parliamentary Committees

New Delhi: The central government has announced the constitution of various parliamentary panels and standing committees. While Jual Oram from Odisha has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Defence, Cuttack MP Bhartuhari Mahatab has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Labour. Senior BJD leader Pinaki Mishra and Rajya Sabha Member Amar Patnaik have been appointed members of the important Finance Committee that is to be headed by Jayant Sinha. Likewise, Lok Sabha MP Achyuta Samanta has been appointed member of the Committee on External Affairs.

A number of other Members of Parliament of Odisha both from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have also found place in various panels and Standing Committees. Jajpur Member of Parliament Sarmistha Sethi has been appointed as a member of the high profile Committee on Home Affairs headed by Anand Sharma. Rajya Sabha Member Sasmit Patra has been made a member of the Committee on Human Resources Development.
