Bhubaneswar: Around 31 per cent of people in Berhampur city have already developed anti-bodies for the COVID-19 infection, according to the serological survey.
In a press briefing RMRC Director Sanghamitra Pati said that 31 per cent of the all persons in the Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) area, who underwent in sero-survey, have developed anti-bodies.
The five-day long serological survey conducted between August 3 and August 7 by the teams of BeMC and RMRC revealed that nearly 1.5 lakh population in the city have developed anti-bodies for the COVID-19 infection, she added.
Meanwhile, talking to the Newsroom.co.in, BeMC Commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore said that strict measures like restricted entry in Berhampur and complete support by the public are the main reasons for the falling in number of COVID cases in the city, after reaching the high levels in July.
