Bhubaneswar: One of the best models of 5T Initiatives on ground that has an impact on the lives of common people during these difficult times of pandemic – Rajaswa Ratha is making waves in rural Odisha today. The unique and innovative initiative of the Government of Odisha, implemented by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department is being rolled out by various district administrations and has started serving the common people.
Under this initiative, Revenue Department officials are going door to door in a dedicated vehicle to provide all services of the department such as issue of various certificates, distribute land records and make mutation of land that are hitherto issued in the Tahasil offices.
In a latest development, the Rajaswa Rath initiative by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department was flagged off in Jeypore Tuesday. The Ratha was launched by Jeypore Tahasildar Pradhan Tully Amma in which twelve beneficiaries of Sana Kaudi village received forest land Pattas and ten persons received their caste certificates in Jaraikera village. The officials visitin department.
Likewise, the Rajaswa Ratha has been launched in Rayagada, Cuttack, Nuapada, Gajapati, Ganjam, Boudh, Balsore and other districts to provide revenue services to citizens during the pandemic at the door step of the villages. This has come as a big relief for the people when access to government offices is restricted for the public.
The door step service has been a hit in rural pockets such as Nuapada and Khariar Tehsils in Nuapada, Kashinagar in Gajapati, Balikuda in Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi, Basta in Balsore, Surada, Kabisurjyanagar and Bhanjanagar in Ganjam etc., where people are happy that they can save money and time during these crisis time.
The launch of Rajaswa Ratha initiative in various districts is an example of swift action under the 5T Initiative. This is a part of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s ambition and commitment made to the people of Odisha to provide all the government services at the doorsteps of the citizens.
It has been made operational in a short notice and the best use of available technology is being made. Earlier this month, Principal Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management, Bishnupada Sethy had written to the collectors to emulate the Ganjam Model of Rajswa Ratha and provide citizen-centric initiatives to deliver public services to citizens in a time-bound, transparent and hassle-free manner.
