5T Effect: Odisha Govt Promoted Record 12, 932 Employees in 2019
Whopping 3,166 Employees Ranging from Group-A to Group-D Categories Were Promoted in Last Week of Dec 2019.
Bhubaneswar: In a significant measure to increase efficient and boosting morale of its employees, the Odisha Government has promoted a record 3,166 employees from 39 departments and 30 districts in the last week of December 2019.
A whopping 3,166 employees ranging from Group-A to Group-D categories were promoted between December 24 and 31, stated a release of the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).
While 852 were promoted in Group-A, as many as 527 have been given promotion in Group-B. A total of 1,496 and 291 employees were promoted in Group-C and Group-D categories respectively.
During January to November 2019, whopping 9,766 employees across categories were promoted and overall in the yet 2019, as many as 12,932 employees were promoted.
Maximum 2,330 employees were promoted in the Home department whereas 1,307 were got their promotion in the Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment department.
Similarly, 1,251 staff were given promotion in the Health and Family Welfare department, the release stated.
At the district level, 748 employees were promoted in Cuttack district, 218 and 194 were got their promotion in Mayurbhanj and Ganjam district respectively.
Notably, the State Government is focusing on better governance under the 5T initiative.
With an aim to encourage government employees to be part of the 5-T programme, the CM has directed all the departments to promote eligible employees, the CMO release added.
