5T Initiatives: Angul Admin Launches E-Permission Module for Marriage, Funeral & Emergency Travel Pass

Angul: Taking another step towards digitization of Government services, the Angul district administration has launched the E-Permission module in the district that will facilitate digital permission for Marriage functions, Funeral Services and emergency movement passes for public. Under the aegis of 5T Initiatives, the Angul District Administration today launched the module as part of www.angulcms.com. This comes at a time when the Covid-19 protocols call for contact less engagement of government services to encourage social distancing and avoid gatherings in government offices.

With this addition to the online services platform, people will now be able to apply for Marriage, Funeral and Emergency travel passes under this Module without having to physically visit the concerned government offices. This is designed in such a way that all the necessary information can be provided through the website. For marriages, the Input module collects all details of the Bride and the Groom including ID proofs and photographs so that there is no discrepancy in age.
Also, the module has been designed in compliance with the Covid-19 Guidelines issued by the state Government. If necessitated, the module will be modified accordingly. The officials will verify the details given by the applicants and approve or disapprove accordingly. The approval will also be available in the website which the applicants can download in a pdf format using their mobile number and Unique ID. The same procedure is also applicable for permission for funeral services and movement of people in the district. This will greatly help in strengthening Covid appropriate behaviour in the district.

Commenting on the new module, Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain has said that, “It is an extension of the 5T Initiatives in the district. With this we can save our resources and tidme very well. It will also minimize avoidable crowd in the government offices and police stations thereby helping containing the Covid virus.”
