Puri: Odisha 5T Secretary V K Pandian today reviewed the progress of Srimandir Parikrama Project in the pilgrim city of Puri.
Pandian went through the Srimandiar Parikrama Project site and reviewed its work status. He inspected the works being undertaken near the Paschima Dwara.
The Srimandira Parikrama project envisages a 75-meter corridor around Sri Jagannath Temple at Puri. This will provide wide, hassle free corridors around the Meghanada Prachira giving an opportunity to the pilgrims to have darshan of the Temple, Neelchakra and Meghanada Pacheri.
The foundation stone of the ambitious project was laid in November last year.
The Odisha Government has taken several measures under its Augmentation of Basic Amenities and Development of Heritage and Architecture (ABADHA) Scheme for developing Puri as a “World Class Heritage City”.
