5T Secretary Reviews Various Development Projects in Cuttack 

Netaji Bus Terminal Work to Be Completed by June 15

Cuttack: On the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Secretary to CM (5T) VK Pandian on Saturday visited Cuttack to review various development projects being carried out in the city.

The 5T Secretary has reviewed construction work of state-of-the-art Netaji Bus Terminal at Khan Nagar in Cuttack. He held discussion with the concerned officials regarding the project.

As per the review, the bus terminal work will be completed by June 15.

It is worth noting that Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik laid the foundation stone of Netaji Bus Terminal on January 23, 2021. The CM has sanctioned Rs 70 crore for the bus terminal, which is being built over 15 acre land.

The state-of-the-art terminal will accommodate 180 buses besides providing other facilities to the visitors. The terminal will improve the traffic system of Cuttack city and facilitate the inter-state bus movement.

The 5T Secretary also visited the famous Maa Chandi temple in Cuttack and offered his prayers to the deity.

He review the ongoing development works around the shrine.

Earlier, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has sanctioned Rs 40 crore for the transformation the Maa Chandi temple, the presiding deity of Cuttack district.

The development project has been included in the integrated development of heritage, monuments and tourist destination scheme under the 5T initiative.

During his visit, the 5T Secretary took stock of the progress of the development works at the temple.

According to the review, the renovation of the temple will be completed by the end of this year and will be dedicated to the people on New Year.

The 5T Secretary has also reviewed other important projects during his visit.

Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani, CMC Commissioner Nikhil Pavan Kalyan and other district administration officials were present during the 5T Secretary’s visit.

Earlier today, Pandian had visited Lord Jagannath Temple in Puri and reviewed the progress of the historic Heritage Corridor Project.
