Rourkela: Continuing his visits to hospitals of different districts to oversee the implementation of “Mo Sarkar” programme of the State Government and take it to the downtrodden, Secretary to Chief Minister, Transformation and Initiatives (5T), VK Pandian along with Development Commissioner Suresh Chandra Mahapatra and NHM Director Shalini Pandit today visited District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) at Sundargarh.
Leading from the front, the soft spoken Pandian interacted with the patients and their relatives at the hospital and enquired about the facilities and distribution of free medicines.
The bureaucrats also held brief meetings with district administration officials and doctors during the tour. They are also likely to visit Ispat General Hospital, Rourkela later today.
Meanwhile, in yet another significant development, Chief District Medical Officer in-charge
of Sundargarh Pankaj Patel had been suspended for lapses in implementation of “Mo Sarkar” initiatives of the Government.
Similarly, the Government has also issued a show cause notice to district collector, Sundargarh for lapses in implementation in the Mo Sarkar initiatives in the hospital.
The suspension handed to CDMO after two poor women had allegedly being asked to get medical tests done in private labs and showed all the documents to Pandian, sources said.
Based on feedback received from public under #MoSarkar, Sundargarh CDMO Pankaj Patel has been placed under suspension with immediate effect for negligence & @DMSundargarh Nikhil Pawan Kalyan also issued with show cause notice for the lapses in implementation of #5Ts.

They were undergoing dialysis at the hospital.
In utter disregard for instructions, cooked food was also not being provided to the patients in the hospital ,the sources added.
