Cuttack: Even as various infrastructure development works gather steam in Cuttack, 5T Secretary V K Pandian today paid an early morning visit to the millennium city and reviewed the ongoing works. He visited the Taladanda Canal development works on ground and interacted with officials on various aspects including early completion.
He also went to the New Bus Stand site and Malgodam area where the state government has taken up big infrastructure development initiatives.
The Taladanda Canal, one of the British era canals of Cuttack, is being developed and renovated with the use of Cementious Composite Geo-Synthetic Mattress and is expected to be completed soon.
The New Bus Stand work at Khan Nagar has also been initiated. It is being developed into a world class bus terminus on an area of 12 acres of land belonging to Cuttack Municipal Corporation at a cost of Rs. 65 crore. During the review of various works, Works Secretary Kishan Kumar, Special Secretary to Chief Minister Vineel Krishna and CMC Commissioner Ananya Das were also present.
Notably, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had on Friday tweeted a photo of the renovated new look historical Taladanda Canal and thanked the people of Cuttack for their cooperation in the beautification of the historic canal.
