5T Sporting Transformation: CM Naveen to Inaugurate and Lay Foundation Stones of Multiple Sports Infra Projects Today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has transformed the state into the sports capital of the country. As part of its efforts, the government has been developing sporting infrastructure under the 5T Initiatives across the state. Sports and sportspersons are being encouraged and better infrastructure is being created. The state government is giving priority to creating sports infrastructure across the state to attract the youth generation towards sports. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple sports projects in various districts of the state today.

The Chief Minister is scheduled to inaugurate 12 hockey training centres, 48 multi-purpose indoor stadiums, table tennis academy in Cuttack, Gymnastics Academy at Rourkela and multi-purpose indoor hall at Bhawanipatna.

He will also lay the foundation stone of a hockey training centre at Deogarh and a women’s Football training centre at Aul in Kendrapara district. The Chief Minister will also lay the foundation stone for multipurpose indoor stadiums at Remuna, Baliguda, Karanjia and Titilagarh, indoor swimming pools in Bhadrak and football training centres in Cuttack.
