Bhubaneswar: In what could be a great news for all, an 85-year-old woman has been cured of Coronavirus and tested negative for the disease in Odisha. The woman hailing from Jajpur was tested positive 12 days back and was under treatment at the SUM Covid Hospital in Bhubaneswar. She was discharged from the hospital yesterday.
This has brought cheers among the doctors and paramedics who worked hard for her successful treatment. Treating her was a challenge for the doctors as she was only 22 kgs in weight and needed extra care and treatment.
Though the elderly people are more susceptible to Coronavirus, this news has come as a great relief for all. She is one of the 31 persons discharged in the state after being tested negative for the virus. 14 persons from Sum Covid Hospital have been recovered from this deadly disease till date.
In addition, two children aged three years have also been cured of the deadly disease and have been discharged from the Sum Covid Hospital.
