Bhubaneswar: Several districts of Odisha are likely to witness intense heat wave conditions till March 19, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Severe heat waves, along with hot and humid conditions and warm nights, are likely to affect several parts of the state till March 19, the IMD predicted.
The IMD has issued a red warning, indicating that heat wave conditions are likely to prevail at many places, with severe heat wave conditions expected in a few places in the districts of Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Kalahandi, Sonepur, and Boudh.
An orange warning has been issued for heat wave conditions in a few places in the districts of Angul, Bolangir, and Sundargarh.
A yellow warning has been issued for heat wave conditions at one or two places in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhargarh, Dhenkanal, and Gajapati.
The IMD has issued an advisory urging the public to take precautions against the heat.
