The IMB has issued a yellow warning has been issued for Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, and Kalahandi for March 30.
The heatwave is expected to intensify, impacting Jharsuguda, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Balangir, Kalahandi, Bargarh, and Sundargarh on March 31.
The IMD has advised residents, particularly the elderly, children, and outdoor workers, to take precautions and stay hydrated. Authorities are expected to implement heatwave action plans to mitigate the impact of extreme temperatures.
