Cuttack: People of Cuttack district on Friday felicitated Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for his government’s special development package for the silver city and the infra development of SCB Medical College and Hospital.
On Thursday, the Chief Minister announced the package during his visit to Cuttack city on the occasion of Netaji Jayanti.
Over thousands of people and all MLAs of Cuttack district came to Naveen Niwas to express their gratitude to the Chief Minister for the development package.
The package includes the expansion of ring road into six-lane and transformation of SCB Medical College and Hospital into a world class institute.
Besides, the Odisha Government will also prepare a ‘decongestion plan’ for Cuttack with wider roads, better accessibility, public spaces and utilities including parks, modern urban infrastructure, parking and greenery.
The development work of the SCB Medical College to make it a world-class institution will start in March, the CM announced.
Those who felicitated Naveen Patnaik include social workers, senior citizens, public representatives and common citizens, sources said.
