Talcher: An assistant executive engineer in Talcher in Angul district has come under the scanner of vigilance for allegedly taking bribe from a contractor.
The engineer has been identified as Santosh Kumar Sahoo.
Sahoo, Assistant Executive Engineer, RWS&S, Talcher, has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while he was demanding and taking bribe of Rs Rs.50,000 from a contractor to clear his bills.
In this connection, a case has been registered against the Engineer at Cuttack Vigilance PS.
The vigilance sleuths also conducted simultaneous raids at several places linked to the Assistant Executive Engineer.
