Bhubaneswar: Ruling Biju Janata Dal today slammed Bharatiya Janata Party for allegedly misguiding people about the State Government with having no substantial document or evidence.
BJD spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Dr. Sasmit Patra dared BJP to produce evidence.
“If the Odisha BJP unit has any evidence about their allegations, let them place it with the Collector for the appropriate action. If they do not have any evidence, they should stop misleading the people of Odisha”, Patra said.
The BJD spokesperson said, “The BJP led Union Government keeps awarding Odisha for good work in Delhi and BJP in Odisha continues to indulge in falsehood and trying to unsuccessfully misguide the people of Odisha.”
The BJP-led Centre has awarded Odisha as the best performing State in the country for successfully completing pucca houses in the rural belt under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). It seems the BJP in Odisha has selective memory and forgets the good work of the BJD Government which the BJP Government in Delhi awards, Patra added.
Making a scotching attack, Patra further said “We hope the BJP in Odisha takes details from their party led Government in rural housing in Delhi and apprise themselves with the facts so that they do not again try to mislead the people of Odisha.”
Due to such irresponsible and untruthful statements, the BJP in Odisha is rapidly losing its credibility before the people of the State and getting repeatedly rejected. They will continue to be rejected by the people of Odisha in the future as well, he added.
