On World Thalassaemia Day, Odisha CM Urges to Create Awareness about Blood Disorder and Work towards Supporting Patients

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, on the occasion of World Thalassaemia Day, has urged to create awareness about the blood disorder and work towards supporting patients and their families.

The Chief Minister also reaffirmed commitment to promote actions related to prevention, management, and treatment of the disease and encourage blood donation to save precious lives.
“On World Thalassaemia Day, let’s create awareness about the blood disorder & work towards supporting patients, their families. Reaffirm commitment to promote actions related to prevention, management, and treatment of the disease & encourage blood donation to save precious lives”, the CM tweeted.


World Thalassaemia Day is observed on every 8th of May. This day seeks to create awareness about the disease and help thalassaemia patients lead a normal life despite the burden of the disease.
