Jajpur: A junior engineer, Swadhin Kumar Sahu, working in Badachana Electrical Section, Jajpur has been caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Cuttack for demanding and accepting illegal gratification of ten thousand rupees for shifting of 11 kV wire existing close to the residential building of complainant.
Accused Swadhin Kumar Sahu, J.E. was caught red-handed by the officers of Vigilance, Cuttack Division in his office room while demanding and accepting bribe from complainant Chittaranjani Nayak.
The bribe money was recovered from the possession of Sahu and seized in presence of witnesses. Both hands wash of Sahu as well as wash of his shirt pocket gave positive chemical reaction.
His residential house at Chasapada, in Dhenkanal district was also searched. Sahu has been arrested and is being forwarded to the court.
