Naveen’s Oath-taking Ceremony to Be Held at Exhibition Ground
Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal supremo Naveen Patnaik, who is all set to become the Chief Minister of Odisha for the record fifth consecutive term, will take oath of office for his new term outside the Raj Bhavan.
The sworn-in ceremony of Naveen Patnaik will be held at the Idco Exhibition Ground in the state capital here.
It is for the first time that the sworn-in ceremony of the BJD, which will form the government for the fifth consecutive term after registering a landslide victory in the Assembly elections, will be organized outside the Raj Bhavan in order to enable common people to witness the historic moment, sources said.
Naveen Patnaik, who led his party to a stellar victory in the elections, has received congratulatory messages from several key leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Former President of India Pranab Mukherjee, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Union Minister Suresh Prabhu.
As per media reports, the newly elected BJD legislators will formally meet the Chief Minister at his residence on Sunday morning and a high-level meeting of the legislators will also be held at party office in Bhubaneswar.
Meanwhile, preparations are in full swing for the smooth conduct of the sworn-in ceremony of the new BJD government, sources said.
