Keonjhar: Beautification of Sri Sri Baldevjew Temple and Grand Corridor Turns Holy Place Into a Major Center of Attraction For Visitors

Keonjhar: The beautification of Keonjhar’s famous Sri Sri Baldevjew temple and its grand corridor has turned the place into a major attraction for the tourists and visitors from across the State.

The development of the 540 meters of the grand corridor or the Badadanda at the famous shrine provides an aesthetic environment for the devotees. The beautification works include decorative floral painting of the grand corridor using theromplastic material for longevity, depiction of various Bheshas of Sri Sri Baldevjew and Dashavatars by pole mounted artifacts, contextual development of Mausimaa Temple by fresh coat of paints and installation of pavers for parking zone.

The creation of traditional artworks and Patachitra along the corridor by craftsmanship of Raghurajpur artists has further glorified the beauty of the grand corridor. The village of Raghurajpur is listed in UNESCO and INTACH for their unique artworks on Patachitra.

The Chief Minister has sanctioned funds worth Rs 1 crore for the construction of the Bhoga Mandapa and the Bhajana Mandapa inside the temple. The construction of both the sites have been completed.

The transformed Badadanda has been a treat for the eyes. Most of the interior works are in the completion phase.

Speaking on the renovation works, Keonjhar Collector Ashish Thakare says that, “We have created all modern amenities at the Temple. The transformed temple is already attracting people from faraway places. Our endeavor is to make it one of the best destinations in the State.”

The Chief Minister has given utmost priority on the renovation and preservation of ancient monuments and heritage sites under the 5T transformative initiatives.
