Bhubaneswar: Indian Rare Earths Limited (IREL), Chatrapur has bagged the Odisha State Export Award for its robust export performance.
The Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department has conferred the prestigious award to IREL for maintaining a sustained growth in the export for two consecutive years – 2017-18 & 2018-19.
The IREL bagged two separate trophies with certificate of merit in the large industry category (minerals including granite) at a special function organised by Directorate of Export Promotion & Marketing at Lok Seva Bhawan on January 22.
CGM & Head, OSCOM, IREL A.J.Janarthanan and DGM (Sales & Canalisation), Dr P.R.Patnaik attended the ceremony for receiving the prizes.
IREL had maintained a sustained growth in the export for the preceding two years by exporting Limonite, Garnet & Thorium Nitrate worth Rs 218.68 crore in 2017-18 and Rs 384.56 crore in 2018-19 and maintained a sustained growth in export for preceding two years.
