Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has condoled the demise of tabla maestro Pandit Umesh Chandra Kar.
In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described Kar as a great artist. He said that his departure is an irreparable loss to the art industry of the State.
The last rites of Kar will be conducted with full State honours, the CM announced.
The Chief Minister also expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family and prayed peace to the departed soul.
