Berhampur: Berhampur Police arrested two persons in connection with water meters thefts at different streets in the city.
On the written report of complainant of Banka Bihari Nagar, Gate Bazar , Town PS and the case was registered regarding theft of meters and investigated into.
Accused person N.Kiran and others had committed theft of water meters installed at different streets of Berhampur and sold the same to receiver Sandeep Kumar Gupta for Rs.250 per piece.
Getting information raid was conducted on the scrap shop of receiver and 4 water meters were recovered from him, the police said.
Both the accused and receiver were arrested and forwarded to the court on Friday, the police stated.
