Bhubaneswar: A new security camp has been established near Tulsi village under Tulsi RF area in Malkangiri district.
The Tulsi COB has been established by the Malkangiri police and BSF Odisha to further intensify anti-Maoist operations in the district.
From being one of the worst affected districts in the country from LWE point of view, Malkangiri has come a long way to tackle Maoist menace. The district has not reported any violence and has prompted actor Allu Arjun to shoot Pushpa II here. Huge efforts have been made by all to ensure peace in the region.
The opening of COB in Tulsi village would usher development and a sense of security in the region. It will facilitate the operations of security forces more effectively to curb Maoist problems in the region.
