Bhubaneswar: Former Indian Men’s Hockey Team captain Prabodh Tirkey joined the Congress here on Monday.
Tirkey was inducted into the party in the presence of Dr. A. Chellakumar, in-charge of Congress in Odisha, Pradesh Congress President Sharat Pattnaik and other senior party leaders.
Tirkey, who had played 135 international hockey matches, had expressed his desire to contest the 2024 Assembly election from the Talsara constituency in Sundargarh district, as per reports.
