Bhubaneswar: A retired ASI of Police has been sentenced to two years jail following his conviction in a bribery case.
Muralidhar Prusty, Ex-ASI of Police (Retd), Motanga PS, Dhenkanal, who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance in Special Judge, Vigilance, Dhenkanal TR No 12/2017 for taking bribe, was convicted by the Court to 2 yrs jail and fine of Rs. 20,000, the Vigilance said.
Odisha Vigilance further stated that it will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Prusty following his conviction.
