Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Tuesday caught Additional District Public Health Officer, Subarnapur (Class 1) red-handed while taking bribe.
The accused health officer has been identified as Dr. Nabakishor Behera.
Dr. Behera has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and accepting bribe of Rs.16,000 from the complainant for extension of contractual engagement with higher pay.
In this connection, a case has been registered at Sambalpur Vigilance P.S.
Simultaneous searches have been launched on properties of Dr.Behera at 3 places in Subarnapur and Kandhamal, the Vigilance Department said.
