Bhubaneswar: Saluga Pradhan, the two-time MLA from G Udayagiri has been elected unanimously as the new Deputy Speaker of the Odisha Assembly. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik moved the motion for choosing Saluga as the Deputy Speaker of the House. The motion was passed unanimously. All the members present supported Saluga’s candidature. The Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress also supported his candidature supported the motion to elect Saluga as the Deputy Speaker. Speaker Pramila Mallick announced the election of Saluga Pradhan as the Deputy Speaker. Saluga Pradhan is a two-time MLA from G Udaygiri Constituency in Kandhamal district.
