Bhubaneswar: In an important initiative that will further boost healthcare at the grassroots level and in the remote and backward districts of the state, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will today handover appointment letters to 2473 newly recruited doctors. He will also guide the newly recruited doctors at a special program to be held at the Kalinga Stadium.
The Government of Odisha has been making several efforts to strengthen the health services and solve the problem of shortage of doctors in the state. More than 5,000 posts of doctors have been created in the state in the last few years under the Odisha Medical and Health Services (OMHS) cadre.
