Shri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee Meeting On Srimandira Parikrama Project To be Held Today

Puri: An important meeting of the Shri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee will be held today to discuss about the Srimandira Parikrama Prakalpa. The Meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb.

The meeting assumes significance as the Parikrama Prakalpa works nearing completion and preparations are in full swing for the Inauguration on the 17th of this month. It will discuss the inauguration of the Parikrama project and preparations about the visit of the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Yesterday, Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, advisor to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, had visited Puri and took stock of the various works being given final touches. Speaking to media, he said that Jagannath Bus Service will be launched to Puri on the occasion of the inauguration of the Parikrama Prakalpa. The government will launch of Jagannath Express bus service under its Location Accessible Multi-modal Initiative connecting all the 29 districts with Puri. About 60 buses would travel to Puri to help devotees reach and witness the divine ceremony.
