Bhubaneswar: An Aahaar Centre at Paradeep in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district has received the ISO Certification for maintaining quality and standard.
Aahaar Kendra, Paradeep Municipality has bagged the certification for providing cooked meals to the people at the cost of Rs 5 per meal with hygienic atmosphere.
This has been announced by the Odisha Housing & Urban Development Department (H&UD), nodal department to implement the Aahaar Yojana in the State, through its official Twitter handle.
“This is to certify that the Quality Management System of Aahaar Kendra, Paradeep Municipality has been assessed and found to confirm to the requirement of ISO 9001:2015 for providing subsided cooked meal to the general public at the cost of Rs 5 per meal with hygienic atmosphere”, reads the certificate issued to the Aahaar centre.
Under the Aahaar initiative, which was launched on April 1, 2015, the Odisha Government serves over one lakh meals to the people daily.
Maintaining the quality and standard of all 158 Aahaar Centres across the state has been a priority of the department, said H&UD.
