Bhubaneswar: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhubaneswar will close the Outpatient Department (OPD) from July 10 till further orders.
This has been informed by AIIMS-Bhubaneswar director Gitanjali Batmanabane today.
She said, “Some patients and staffers of the hospital have tested positive for COVID-19.
This apart, some employees are coming from COVID containment zones. In view of the shortage of staffers, we have decided to close the walk-in OPD services until further notice”.
However, the patients can continue to contact doctors through telemedicine services. Casualty and emergency services will also continue at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, Batmanabane said.
A mobile phone app ‘AIIMS Bhubaneswar Swasthya App’ will be launched on Friday, she added.
