All Four BJD Candidates File Nominations For Rajya Sabha

Bhubaneswar: All the four candidates of Biju Janata Dal who have been nominated by supremo Naveen Patnaik for the Rajya Sabha have filed their nomination papers today. The four leaders filed their nominations papers with the Returning officer at the Assembly Secretariat. While Sasmit Patra filed the papers for his second term, Manas Mangaraj and Sulata Deo filed for their maiden term for the Rajya Sabha. Niranjan Bishi filed the papers for the by-polls for the seat vacated by Subash Singh. The scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held on 1st June and candidates can withdraw the nominations by 3 pm on June 3rd. If necessary, voting will be held from 9 am to 4 pm on June 10 in the Room Number 54 of the Secretariat. As the Biju Janata Dal has the required numbers in the Assembly, there will not be any need for voting.
