Amid Lockdown, Odisha Assembly Passes Appropriation Bill 2020-21, Adjourns Sine Die

Bhubaneswar: Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the Odisha Assembly on Monday unanimously passed the Appropriation Bill for 2020-21 even as the State is in lockdown. 

Only 30 per cent members and leaders of all parties participated in the business.

The Assembly met for a day in Lok Seva Bhawan Convention Centre here to pass the Appropriation Bill.

Demands for Grants relating to expenditures of various departments were also passed through guillotine and the Appropriation Bill.

All these transactions were completed within an hour.

Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro adjourned the House sine die immediately after passing of Bill.
