Angul Business Associations Voluntarily Impose Restrictions To Keep Away Crowd

Angul: Traders of Angul District have voluntarily come forward to restrict the trading hours in order to keep a tab on the movement of people and minimize gatherings. The Angul Chamber of Commerce and Industries has decided to open businesses only between 7 am to 3 pm. This will be in force from 3rd May to 16th May. All essential services will be available during the night curfew and evening times.

The move by the business associations has been appreciated by Collector Sidharth Swain, who said, “We are very much thankful to the collective decision of the traders for restricting trading hours. This will definitely have a positive impact on curbing the spread of Covid-9 virus.”

In the last 24 hours Angul reported 419 Covid positive cases taking the total number of active cases in the district to 1671.
