Bhubaneswar: With the increase in the Covid-19 case load, another dedicated COVID-19 hospital to come up Cuttack by the end of next week informed, District Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani today.
Briefing the media, he said, Cuttack district now comes third in terms of the number of COVID-19 positive caseloads. And setting up new dedicated hospital is part of the effort of the government to boost the Covid-19 facilities in the district.
The district has reported over 3,000 cases out of which more than 50 per cent is from the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) area. The number in Cuttack Rural is 1,400 till Sunday.
While, the recovery rate in Cuttack is nearly 66.03 per cent, the mortality rate is only 0.01 per cent.
Showing presentation, Chayani said that 35 out of 150 beds at Ashwini COVID hospital are free. Similarly, 26 out of 150 beds at GIMSAR COVID Health Centre are vacant, he added.
