Puri: An Archeological Survey of India (ASI) team has begun the inspection work of Srimandir’s Garbha Gruha (sanctum sanctorum) here today.
The team comprising officials of ASI Technical Core Committee and CBRI, Roorkee will inspect the first and second floors, walls, corbel and steel cross of the Garbha Gruha for which scaffolding has been put up at the 12th-century shrine, sources said.
The high-level team will also conduct inspection of Jagamohan, Nata Mandap and Bhoga Mandap of the ancient shrine.
