Bahuda Yatra : Trinity Reaches Singhadwara in Puri

Puri: Amid chants, the three chariots, of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra have reached Singhadwara, the lion’s gate of Srimandir in Puri as the Bahuda Yatra ended peacefully and on time today evening.

All rituals during the day also completed on time.

After completing the nine day sojourn, the holy trinity returned to their abode Srimandir.

Lord Balabhadra’s chariot Taladhwaja reached Singhadwara first, followed by  Darpadalana chariot of Devi Subhadra reached. At last, Lord Jagannath’s chariot Nandighosha reached almost one hour after two siblings reached Singhadwara.

The trinity however, will be on their respective chariots today. They will be attired with golden ornaments which is called ‘Suna Besha’.

Meanwhile all preparations are being put in place for the ‘Sunabesha’ ritual.

The State Government, SJTA, district administration, police administration, other departments had made all preparations meticulously to make it a huge success amid pandemic.

Notable, the cloud of uncertainty over holding of Rath Yatra was thick till last day. The government and local administration and other stakeholders, however  have pulled up their socks to make it a successful event, setting an example in the world amid pandemic.
