Kendrapara: Lord Balabhadra appeared in the form of Hati Vesha on the auspicious occasion of Deba Snana Purnima being observed at the Baladevjew temple here today.
After the ceremonial bath on the Snana Mandap, the deities – Lord Balabhadra and His divine siblings Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra were adorned with Gajabadan Vesha, also known as Hati Vesha.
Prior to the Hati Vesha, the Jaya Mangala Alati and Neeti Snana rituals of the Trinity were performed after the Pahandi Bije.
Meanwhile, the Snana Yatra is underway at the historic shrine with the participation of a minimum number of servitors due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
As per the schedule, the entry of deities to Anabasara abode will be held at 7pm today.
In view of the COVID-19 outbreak, the Kendrapara district administration has imposed Section 144 in and around areas of Baladevjew temple in order to restrict public gatherings on the occasion.
