Balangir to Be Shut for Four Days From Tomorrow

Balangir: Keeping in view the increasing number of coronavirus cases and to prevent the spread of it, the Balangir district administration has decided to enforce strict shutdown in the district from tomorrow till 3rd of August.

The shutdown order imposes restrictions on intra-district public and private transport. During this period, shops, government and private offices/institutions and movement of people is barred.

The following activities are allowed during the shutdown period:

• All medical establishments including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, including medicine stores and movement of Ambulance and all medical personnel.
• District (Emergency) and Municipal Administration/Police/Fire Services
• Cetral and State Government Officials on emergency duty
• Telecom services
• Petrol Pumps
• Print and Electronic Media
• Water Supply, sanitation and sewerage workers
• Electricity supply and distribution
• Movement of goods carriers whether loaded or unloaded.
• Industrial establishments, factories and construction activities
• Agriculture, horticulture, fisheries, animal husbandry, vetnary services and allied services.
• Road transport on highways, road movement of transiting vehicles
• Marriages and Funerals with permission of local authorities
• ATMs and critical financial institutions like RBI, Clearing Houses
• Dhabas along National and State Highways, Major Roads for takeaway
• Milk Booths
