Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended an Amin at the office of Tahsildar, Saintala, Balangir for allegedly taking bribe.
The Amin has been identified as Nirmalendu Kabi.
Kabi was nabbed by the Vigilance sleuths while taking bribe of Rs. 8,000 from a person for demarcation of his land as per orders of the Court of Tahsildar.
In this connection, Sambalpur Vigilance PS Case No.03/2024 U/s 7 P.C. Act, 1988 as amended by P.C. Amendment Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress, the Vigilance informed.
