Bhubaneswar: If everything goes well, Balasore will have India’s first Thunderstorm Research Testbed, a first of its kind research center under the auspices of Ministry Of Earth Sciences and Indian Meteorological Department.
According to sources, the projecte will be undertaken in association with Indian Space Research Organisation and DRDO.
The Research Center will predict lightning and thunderstorm incidents and will try to ensure zero casualty in the northern part of the state using advanced technology.
