Bhubaneswar: Newly elected MLA from Padampur, Barsha Singh Barhiha took formal oath as the member of the Odisha Legislative Assembly today.
Speaker Bikram Keshari Arukha administered her the oath of office and secrecy.
The oath was administered in the chamber of the OLA Speaker, and was attended by a number of ministers and senior leaders of the Biju Janata Dal including Susant Singh, Tukuni Sahu, Rita Sahu, Snehangini Churia, Pramila Mallik, Prafulla Samal, Prafulla Samal, Debi Prasad Mishra among others.
Barsha Singh Bariha, daughter of former senior BJD leader late Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha won the recent Padampur by-polls with a record margin of more than forty two thousand votes.
