Berhampur: Eyes were filled with big dream in life and heart was always beating to join the Air Force to serve the motherland . But destiny had stored something very cruel for him. Destiny’s cruelty stroke the little boy shattering his dream that time when he lost both his legs in a tragic accident. It was the year 2008. Gadadhar Sahu of Odisha’s Ganjam district was in seventh class then.
Even before knowing what the life is all about Gadadhar faced most cruel reality of his life. After completion of the exam, he was visiting his elder brother to Surat by train. Unfortunately, he had fallen down from the running train. Although, Gadadhar’s life was saved, but he lost both his legs. His life tragically turned upside down since. The tragic however failed to shake his nerve of steels and sheer determination as he continued to fight back as a true soldier.
Gadadhar, who hails from Narendrapur village in Sheragada block, had never bowed down to the challenges. His willpower became stronger than before. He was determined to excel in life and chose bodybuilding as career path and worked hard accordingly.
He underwent rigorous physical trainings and exercises every day. The Macho Gadadhar is now a youth icon in Ganjam district. He has excelled in the field of bodybuilding and brought accolades both to the district and State.
He has won several medals participating in many competitions such as Mr. Odisha and district level Ganjam Shree.
In the coming days, he wants to participate in the national and international level competitions with the support of the government.
