Berhampur: The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) today modified its previous order, allowing shops selling non-essential items to open from 7AM to 7PM.
This has been informed by BeMC Commissioner Chakravarti Singh Rathore through a fresh notification.
As per the fresh order, the saloons, tea stalls and pan shops can now open from 7AM to 7PM while observing prescribed norms.
Earlier on May 13, the civic body had restricted the opening timing of these shops from 1PM to 7PM as a measure to check morning rush at markets in the silk city.
