Berhampur: CMS Cash Depositor Detained for Misappropriating ATM Cash worth Rs 45 Lakh

Berhampur: Berhampur Police detained a cash depositor working for a CMS company for allegedly misappropriating ATM cash worth Rs 45 lakh.

CMS Infosystem does the role of loading cash in the ATMs of different banks.

The accused has been identified as Deepak Kumar Padhi (42), who belongs to Mandiapalli area under Gopalpur PS.

Padhy is working as a cash depositor in the CMS company. In the last one year he misappropriated Rs 45 lakhs from the company while loading the ATMs with money.

Based on the complaint by Bhawani Prasad Samanta, Manager of CMS Infosystem Ltd, Berhampur, the accused was detained by the police.

During the interrogation, the accused confessed that he had misappropriated Rs 45 lakh, said Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
