Berhampur: The Berhampur Police has seized fake Lakme products worth around Rs 10 lakh from different shops in the silk city.
The police teams of Town PS and Badabazar PS raided different shops based on the complainant of Hindustan Lever company personnel and seized the fake products.
The products seized include Lakme Eyeconic Kajal, Elle 18 Kajal, Lakme 9 to 5 Compact, Lakme Absolute Compact, Lakme Foundation, Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick, Lakme Absolute Lipstick, Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeliner, Lakme 9 to 5 Mascara, Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick and Pond’s BB Cream.
As per the police, counterfeit Lakme Cosmetics (461 numbers) were seized from Om Stores located at Bada Bazar, Khaspa Street, Berhampur. Similarly, fake Lakme cosmetics (553 numbers) were seized from Sri Sai Trading Co located at Bada Bazar, Khaspa Street, Berhampur.
Counterfeit Lakme and Pond’s cosmetics (807 numbers) were found from Man pasand located at Bhapur Bazar, Berhampur and counterfeit Lakme cosmetics (51 numbers) from Khushi Ladies Corner, V2 Mall, Purana Bus Stand, Berhampur.
The value of the seized products is approx Rs 10 lakhs. The police is further investigating the matter, said Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
