Berhampur: The media persons in Berhampur today took the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
A special vaccination drive for the journalists is being carried out at UPHC Baikunthanagar.
The media persons took the jab of coronavirus vaccine in the presence of Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) Commissioner Dr. Siddeshwar Baliram Bondar and Sub-Collector Keerthi Vasan V.
This has been informed by Ganjam Collector Vijay Amruta Kulange.
The vaccination programme took place just days after Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made a historic decision by according working journalists of the state as Frontline Covid Warriors.
The working journalists are doing a great service to the State by providing seamless news feed, making people aware on issues relating to Covid at this very trying times and they are a great support for our war against Covid, the Chief Minister said.
